About five years ago, Pastor Jon Skipper of Navarre First Assembly of God had young children and there was not much for them to do in the community. Skipper wanted to fill this hole.
“We wanted to do something that would be a blessing for the community,” Skipper said. “We wanted to let families come and let their kids have fun without it costing them anything.”
Family, children and community were the key words when the church decided to hold a Spring Festival. They hold a similar event called the Fall Festival in the autumn months.
