Catholic Church approves revised Bible

The Catholic Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee recently reported that The New American Bible, revised edition has been approved by the Roman Catholic Church for publication.

It is the first major update to the New American Bible translation in 20 years.

Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, then president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, signed the canonical rescript approving publication late last year. The revised edition will be available in a variety of print, audio and electronic formats on March 9.
