With more than 500 million active users on Facebook, it’s no wonder churches across the world are turning to the popular social networking site to reach out to their communities.
Since founder Mark Zuckerberg and his Harvard friends launched Facebook from their dorm room in 2004, the site has become a veritable “who’s-who” for organizations across the globe.
Closer to home, churches are using the site to communicate everything from scripture to spaghetti dinners – and they’re hoping that people will “like” them enough to fill their pews on Sunday mornings.
