Cathy Holmes, was on turtle patrol this morning when she discovered a terrible sight. Vandals had shoveled up a turtle nest near walkover number 9. Eggs were thrown out of the nest; some smashed against walkover steps.

C.J. Stein is part of that rare group of people who instead of merely talking about what could be done, actually does what can be done. The result: the first-ever Gulf Coast Surf Warriors event, which will take place June 2 beginning at 9 a.m. at Navarre Beach County Park.
The Navarre Beach Marine Science Station is the only place hosting a World Oceans Day festival on the Gulf coast in the Florida Panhandle at 6:30 p.m. on June 8 and 10 a.m.-5p.m. on June 9 at Navarre Beach.
A new touch tank for the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station was made available through a grant from the Navarre Beach Leaseholders and Resident Association.
