Well, almost all the visitors have enjoyed them. The park, returned to Santa Rosa County by the state in October 2008, had its first incidence of vandalism Dec. 30.
Herb McCullough, a Navarre Beach Water & Sewer employee, discovered the vandalism. “I went into the men’s restroom at the Manta Ray Pavilion on the gulf side of the park,” McCullough said. “The soap dispensers were pulled off the wall, leaving holes in the sheetrock. Soap dispensers were also removed in the women’s restroom along with tampon dispensers.”
