Beach firefighters oppose consolidation

Navarre Beach firefighters didn’t back out of merger talks, a union official said last week. According to him, they were never in them.

“We were never invited to the meeting that took place in Midway on Nov. 22,” said Ken Taylor, president of International Association of Fire Fighters Local No. 4494, the Navarre Beach firefighters’ union.  “We were not even asked for any input to that meeting.”
