After what seemed to be a lack of progress on J. Earle Bowden Way, the road connecting Navarre and Pensacola Beach, Jim Taylor of the Navarre Beach Leaseholders and Residents Association was determined to see the road for himself.

“I called Jerry Eubanks, superintendent of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, and was told they were still on schedule for January completion. Eubanks said he would arrange for Henry  ‘Hank’  Snyder to meet me and I could ride with him on a tour of the road.”  Snyder is a facilities operations specialist for Gulf Islands National Seashore and is responsible for hurricane recovery.
