Residents oppose beach property rezoning

County commissioners listened to concerns from county residents who oppose rezoning property at 8375 Gulf Boulevard on Navarre Beach from Hotel Navarre Beach to Commercial during aJan. 24 board of county commissioners' meeting.

The public hearing this morning is the first of two hearings to allow public input. The second public hearing will take place at 6 p.m. tonight in the board room located at 6495 Caroline Street, Suite M in Milton. The commissioners will take action on the matter at tonight’s meeting.

If approved, the rezoning would change the property from Hotel Navarre Beach (HNB) and Navarre Beach High Density Residential (NB-HD to Navarre Beach Commercial (NB-C) consistent with county Land Development Codes.
