Turtle vision becoming reality

Cathy Holmes and her granddaughter Trinity Holmes proudly showcase the sea turtle display that will greet visitors to the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center.

The old Navarre Beach Park entrance is slowly being transformed into the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center.

County commissioners authorized architect Ron Williamson to provide architectural and engineering services to renovate the future conservation center during a Dec. 13 commissioners’ meeting.

“It seemed wise to get the proposal from the architect to help guide the turtle recovery center through the process,” said County Administrator Hunter Walker.
