Fla. Supreme Court to hear leaseholder suit

Navarre Beach Leaseholders and Residents Association reported during a Sept. 15 regular meeting that the Florida Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on the leaseholders’ lawsuit against the county property appraiser.

The lawsuit disputes the decision by the Property Appraiser Greg Brown to tax properties on Navarre Beach. The leaseholders are arguing that they shouldn’t have to pay taxes on the leased land.
