The Navarre Beach State Park had barely changed hands in early October before several organizations began lobbying to use some of the facilities. The Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council is one of many groups that wants to be first in line.
There are several buildings in the park that are currently vacant, including two residences.“The park has one building that is perfect for our needs,” said TDC Executive Director Kate Wilkes. “We would still keep our existing building, but the new building would give us even more opportunities to reach tourists and visitors.”
The building that the TDC wants is the first building in the park after passing through the gate.
