Hurricane Isaac brought wind and waves to Navarre Beach on Tuesday.
However, the storm did not drop the anticipated rain to the area as it moved west toward Louisiana. While the Tropical Storm Warning has been lifted for Santa Rosa County, county officials are still urging residents to be prepared for strong winds and rain into Wednesday evening.
The Navarre Beach Fishing Pier was re-opened at 2 p.m. today after under going an inspection by county engineers who deemed it safe for the public. Evacuation orders have been lifted and the tolls resumed at 10 a.m. for Garcon Point Bridge.
County officials are now in the damage assessment process. Santa Rosa County Schools will resume classes Thursday morning at the usual times.
