TDC to support turtle rehab center

Members of the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council were excited about the concept of supporting a sea turtle rehabilitation center on Navarre Beach during an Aug. 15 meeting.

 

Cathy Holmes, project director of the Navarre Beach sea turtle conservation center, approached the TDC to ask for financial support to get the rehab center up and running. The proposed center will be housed in the old entrance building at the Navarre Beach County Park once it is renovated. She requested a $120,000 grant from the TDC.
