New tank courtesy of leaseholders

A new touch tank for the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station was made available through a grant from the Navarre Beach Leaseholders and Resident Association.

Charlene Mauro, program director of the Marine Science Station, was presented with a $500 check and a glass cube on May 19 during the leaseholders meeting to be used in the tank.

“I had the opportunity to get a good lead on a converted lobster tank,” said Mauro, “and it’s the biggest hit at the station and now we’ll be able to get another one. It’s awesome.”
