The month of May brings many things in Florida: rain, mosquitoes, heat, humidity and sea turtles. Sea turtle nesting season officially began May 1 and continues through October on the Gulf Coast.
The most common species of sea turtles seen off Navarre Beach is the loggerhead turtle.
