Beach TDC: North end wants its own website

TDC: North end wants its own website

Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council voted to allow the north end committee to spend $2,000 to create a separate website that will focus solely on north-end tourism activities.

TDC board member Jack Sanborn told TDC members during a Jan. 18 board meeting that he wanted the north end to be better represented by having its own website separate from the TDC's Florida Beaches to Rivers website. He said the TDC website mostly promoted Navarre Beach.

"What makes our county unique is the north end, and we don't promote it," he said. He added that having more than one website for Santa Rosa County tourism would only help visitor traffic overall.

TDC board member Dorothy Slye said that the north end and south end of the TDC had been trying to work together the last few years.
