Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council has some very important decisions to make during its last meeting of the year.
The TDC will meet at 3 p.m. Dec. 28 at the Navarre Visitor Information Center. It will be the last chance the TDC has to approve its 2012 advertising schedule with its marketing company Mdi. TDC was presented with a detailed presentation of the advertising plan last month, but the board tabled approving it until both the north end and south end would have time to discuss any changes.
TDC member Mike Loera said he wanted to see copies of the print ads that were successful during the past year before approving Mdi's plan. He said 2011 was a recovery year from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, but that 2012 would really show whether the organization was doing a good job.
"We need to be more in tuned with what is going on," he said.
