According to Tourist Development Council members, the $30 million grant given to the TDCs of the Northwest Florida may be the last money they see from BP, but regardless they are happy to have the new installment.
On April 8, Kate Wilkes, executive director of the Santa Rosa County TDC, was informed that they would be getting a portion of the $30 million for marketing purposes. She then drove to Tallahassee to officially hear the news given by Gov. Rick Scott. Santa Rosa County will be getting $1,230,473.
