Though the one year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill is just around the corner, local businesses are saying the tourists are flocking in this season.
Julie Crowell, of JME Vacations, said this tourist season has started strong.
“Actually, this is the best year we’ve had on the beach since before the hurricanes, based on the information from March and April,” said Crowell.
