Glowing patches in the Gulf are algae, not oil

If you decided to walk along the shores of Navarre Beach recently at night and saw glowing, blue spots in the water, there is no need to panic.
Those spots are actually bioluminescent alga, according to Lt. Patrick Coleman of the U.S. Coast Guard.
