It was an encounter of the interesting kind.
A coastal encounter, to be exact.
A now-permanent part of the curriculum at the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station, Coastal Encounters is a day-long hands-on showcase; a chance for adults and kids alike to examine life of the sea, right by the sea.
For Charlene Mauro, a Navarre High School teacher and the brains behind the science station operation, it's all about education.
