Pier may get 45-foot extension

The contracting company building the Navarre Beach Pier has made a proposal that arguably, the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners may not want to pass up.

For an extra $125,000, Ed Waters Sons Contracting Company has offered to extend the pier by an additional 45 feet. The company would donate all additional labor, equipment, supervision and overhead while the county would fund the cost of materials and extra survey and permitting work.
