Half-completed pier on schedule for spring opening

Last week, dozens of residents, construction workers, as well as county officials gathered at the base of the new Navarre Beach Pier to celebrate another milestone in the pier’s construction – the half-way mark.

Pier.jpg“Actually, we have completed 47 percent,” said Roger Blaylock, Santa Rosa County chief engineer and Navarre Beach executive director. The percentage was based on the number of pilings driven. “We have completed 21 of 46.”
