It has been almost 10 months since Navarre High School marine science teacher Charlene Fearon, brought a novel idea to the Santa Rosa County Commissioners. The county had an empty ranger’s house in the new county park. She proposed to renovate it into a marine science lab.
With the help of a lot of volunteers, the lab opened on Aug. 10 with its first summer camp. Fearon split the camp into two classes.
