Demolition begins on fishing pier

Work finally has begun on the Navarre Beach fishing pier. Not the new one; the one damaged by hurricanes.

4_30_pier_text.jpgA condition of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s agreement to fund most of the project is that the old pier, severely damaged by hurricanes Ivan and Dennis, be demolished to the mud-line and the debris removed.
