New house goes up on Navarre Beach...in two days

A new two-story beach house was erected last week on Gulf Boulevard. Why is that news? It was done in just two days.

4_16_modular_text.jpg“We used modular construction,”  said builder Don Keener.  “There are four boxes that make up the 2,200-square-foot home. Each was set in place using a large crane. The first two modules were placed on April 7 and were bolted to the pilings. The upper level modules were lowered into place the following day. Several residents and visitors stopped to watch as the modules were lowered into place.”
