Another Santa Rosa County man is behind bars, a result of “Operation Fair Play,” a North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force initiative.
William Justin Pearson, 33, of Gulf Breeze, was arrested Jan. 15 on charges of possession of child pornography.
The Florida Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit found Pearson’s at least five child-pornography videos when an investigation online resulted in a search warrant being executed at his home. The videos depicted children appearing to be between 6 and 12 years old, and one of the videos included images of bondage of a child, according to a news release issued by the Attorney General’s office.
Pearson admitted to knowingly possessing the videos found during the undercover investigation. His computer and other equipment were seized and will undergo additional forensic analysis to locate any additional images.
Pearson was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail and faces five charges of possession of child pornography and additional charges could be added at a later date. No bond had been set.
