County to extend sidewalk to Pawnee Drive

Sidewalk projects usually don’t top Santa Rosa County’s priority list, but Commissioner Gordon Goodin said there are exceptions.

1_8_sidewalk_text.jpg “This (lack of a sidewalk), frankly, is going to get someone killed,”  Goodin said at the commission’s committee meeting Monday, Jan. 5. The county plans to extend a sidewalk from Navarre High School to Pawnee Drive to provide a safe route for students walking between the school and the Navarre Sports Complex or Pullum Family  YMCA.
