Pearl Harbor remembered

On Friday, Dec. 5, Navarre High School’s NJROTC unit paid tribute to the lives lost at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.

Students placed 2,410 flags into the ground in front of the school, one for each life taken. “It is a day that will live in infamy,” said Cadet Tyler Barker. “We do this every year to show the veterans we haven’t forgotten them even though it’s been 60-plus years.”
