United Way Santa Rosa’s 14th annual Cram the Van drive last Thursday was another successful mission of collecting school supplies for students in need. The cram-a-thon was held at three Wal-Mart locations in Gulf Breeze, Pace and Navarre. United Way will continue to collect supplies in bins at Wal-Marts through August 16. Visit unitedwaysrc.org for more information.
According to a United Way release, in 2012 school supplies were distributed to more than 2,000 students in Santa Rosa County.
Eligible parents who need assistance with school supplies are asked to sign up prior to the start of school. Navarre residents can pick up an application at the Good Neighbor Thrift Store located at 9474 Navarre Parkway.
To make a monetary donation or gift card for school supplies, contributions can be made out to Cram the Van or United Way and mailed to United Way of Santa Rosa County, 6479-A Caroline St. Milton, FL 32570.
