An invasive species workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 6 at the UF/IFAS Santa Rosa County Extension Office located at 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton.
Invasive exotic plants and animals cause many challenges for timber, wildlife and recreation natural resource managers, as well as private land owners. The workshop will focus on the more common and troublesome invasive species in Northwest Florida uplands, wetlands and marine areas. Safety and control methods for the species will be highlighted along with field demonstrations.
To register, call 850-689-5850. The $20 registration fee will cover materials and lunch. It is requested that anyone interested in attending register by March 4, Monday.
