Navarre may be small, but the town has its own royalty in Pete and Mary Peterzen.
Pete and Mary were crowned the Navarre Krewe of Jesters’ king and queen during the Twelfth Night Coronation held Jan. 5 at the Navarre Elks Lodge.
Pete and Mary moved to Navarre in 2002 and joined the Krewe two years later in 2004.
“It’s long overdue for them to be selected as king and queen,” said Wayne Hall, Krewe president. “If there’s something that needs to be done and they’re in town, they have no problem stepping up and doing it.”
