Two-term Midway Fire Commissioner Bill Eaton passed away at his home Dec. 18 at the age of 80.
He had been home recovering from surgery that had taken place the day before. Eaton was a 21-year Navy veteran and a retired aircraft mechanic for McDonell Douglas and Boeing. He is survived by his wife Glenda.
A memorial service will be held for Eaton at 6 p.m. Jan. 7 at the Midway Fire District Station on College Parkway. His final memorial will be held at 10:15 a.m. Jan. 8 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.
