Elections supervisor passes the ballot

Ann Bodenstein passes the ballot to Tappie Villane who will be sworn in as supervisor of elections Jan. 4. Bodenstein has seen ballots go from the card reader, left, to the optical scan, right.

On Jan. 4, 2013, Tappie Villane will be sworn in as the county supervisor of elections and four days later, outgoing Elections Supervisor Ann Bodenstein will leave the office keys and combination and walk out the door.

Bodenstein has been working in and around elections since she can remember and has served as the supervisor of elections for two terms.
