While many of the summertime roadside vendors have packed up and returned home for the winter, Back Porch Produce owners John and Arlene Montford are here to stay.
Residents driving up and down U.S. Highway 98 couldn’t miss the old timey produce stand located in front of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gulf Breeze. John built the wooden trailer himself to display his vast array of local fruits and vegetables, honeys, jams and boiled peanuts. Determined not to be a typical roadside eyesore, Arlene said John puts a lot of time into making the produce stand visually appealing with colorful produce and décor to represent the season.
