Campaigns bring in big bucks

What’s a few thousand dollars between friends, or in this case, between donors and candidates seeking elected office?

For incumbents seeking re-election, contributions range from $50 to $5,000 for Florida Rep. Jeff Miller, R-District 1, Florida Sen. Bill Nelson and his Republican challenger Rep. Connie Mack, according to their federal campaign disclosures.

According to the October Federal Election Commission form 3, Miller has received more than $653,000 in this election cycle to date.
