The Holley-Navarre Fire District said goodbye to another leader, Jim Fix, chairman of the fire commission, during Monday night’s fire board meeting.

Fix was ousted in the Nov. 4 election, losing by 2,000 votes to Bruce Brooks, who had previously served eight years on the fire commission, though not consecutively.
“I wish Bruce Brooks the best,” Fix said. “ Everything I did was for the firefighters and the community. We’ve had some hell issues and arguments (at the meetings), but we could always shake hands after or the next day.”
