The vote tabulation machines were tested on Oct. 18 by the Santa Rosa County elections office to ensure they are accurate and ready for the General Election.
The canvassing board performed the tests and Linda Hastings-Ard with the Division of Election observed the process.
Elections Supervisor Ann Bodenstein, Commissioner Jim Melvin and Judge Collie Nichols, canvassing board chairman, comprise the canvassing board.
Machines being tested were the touch-screen machines used for disabled voters and the machines that record the paper ballots that the majority of voters use.
