Formosan termites invade Panhandle

Residents attended a public meeting last night to learn more about the devastation the Formosan termites can have on people’s property and homes.

Paul Mitola, environmental specialist for the Florida Department of Agriculture, informed residents about the termite’s biology, how Formosans differ from the native Eastern termite and the best methods for protecting their property.
