On Oct. 6, the sponsors of Take a Kid Fishing event hope to hook hundreds of children on fishing.
The third annual Take a Kid Fishing Event at the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier will provide children an opportunity to learn about fish and how to catch them.
Event Coordinator Sheila Walker hopes to see 500 children on the pier learning how to fish for free.
