County approves 2013 budget

Santa Rosa County Commissioners approved the 2013 budget at $98,959,733 during a Sept. 17 final budget hearing.

Sheriff Wendell Hall was the only person to speak to commissioners during the public input portion of the hearing. Hall told commissioners that his office had about $700,000 in funds from last year’s budget that he would like to have rolled over into his 2013 budget. He added that commissioners had allowed him to roll over unused funds to the next year’s budget for the last few years.
