U.S. Highway 98 road closure

Due to construction to the base pedestrian bridge, a section of U.S. Highway 98, located directly in front of Hurlburt Field, will be closed Sunday, Feb. 5, beginning 12:01 a.m.

Traffic on Highway 98 will be stopped and will reopen approximately 8 a.m., after which two-way traffic may be limited until noon. Hurlburt Field is working with local authorities to ensure that designated emergency vehicles have access through base if needed. This closure ensures the safety of base personnel and local community population as work is completed on Hurlburt Field facilities. For questions or concerns, contact the 1^st Special Operations Wing Public Affairs at 884-7464.
