Organizers of the proposed Agri-Plex in East Milton asked the Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners to recognize the committee as the planning and implementation group for the project.
Commissioners seemed to agree Tuesday that the county would in fact acknowledge the mission of the Agri-Plex committee and direct county staff to begin drafting a management agreement for the facilities within the project area. Commissioners will vote on the issue today during a regular meeting.
The agriculture complex will be located on the north end of Highway 87 in East Milton near the Santa Rosa Industrial Park and East Milton Recreational Park. Phase one of the project includes the construction of a 350-foot long agriculture pavilion. The pavilion will be covered but open on all sides.
