A public hearing on the 2011 –12 Santa Rosa County School Board budget was held on July 28. Designed to allow the public to ask questions about the allocation of funds garnered, no public input, questions or comments were offered.
Susan McCole, the assistant superintendent for finance for the school district, answered questions from board members about the proposed budget, which was disseminated at a July 21 meeting.
Scott Peden, board representative from district 5, which covers Gulf Breeze schools and Woodlawn Beach Middle School, had questions for McCole about the proposed millage rates in the budget.
