A Pennsylvania woman was cited for running a red light, causing a two-car crash Friday afternoon.
Angela Bates, 56, of Greensburg, Penn., was issued a ticket for a violation of a traffic control signal when she ran a red light through U.S. Highway 98 and Coral Street July 8.
Bates was traveling west on U.S. 98 in the left lane, while Kelley Terlip, 21, of St. Paul, Kansas, was traveling south on Coral Street, at 3:50 p.m.
According to a press release issued by the Florida Highway Patrol, Bates ran the red light as Terlip was entering the intersection, attempting to turn left.
Bates’ Dodge Caravan struck the left front end of Terlip’s car.
Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt and alcohol is not believe to be a factor in the crash.
No one was injured.
