Community Amnesty Day, everyday

Amnesty Day, everyday

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was an Amnesty Day more than once a year, enabling residents to get rid of household hazardous waste easily?

Well, now they can.

The Santa Rosa County Environmental Department now offers residents a place to safely dispose of chemicals and liquids that they have around the home at the Household Hazardous Waste Center – for free.

Rick Harris, Santa Rosa County environmental superintendent, said they have been offering this service since last January and the service is for households only, not businesses.

The center is located at the entrance to the Central Landfill in Milton.
