Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office honors fallen officers

Col. Michael Plehn, commander of the 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field was the guest speaker at the Santa Rosa County Law Enforcement Memorial Service. Santa Rosa County Sheriff Wendell Hall and the men and women of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office gathered at the Sheriff’s Office in Milton on May 5 to honor Florida’s law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate price for their service.

The Law Enforcement Memorial Service is in its third year in Santa Rosa County, and while Hall expressed his gratitude that Santa Rosa has seen no officer deaths this year, nine Florida officers lost their lives in 2010.

The service included the presenting of the colors, a prayer by Chaplain Morgan Miller and a song “Gone Too Soon” performed by Sgt. Raymond Robinson of Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
