Rita Marcilliat was recently honored as Navarre High School’s Rookie of the Year, an honor reserved for teachers with three or fewer years of teaching experience. Marcilliat has been teaching economics, American government and world history at the freshman and senior levels for three years.
She was drawn to teaching after raising her own children, now 28 and 26 years old.
