Josie Cotti of the Gulf Breeze Chamber of Commerce said they had a steady stream of visitors to the Expo this year, and they were very pleased with the event.
During the Taste of the Expo, four Golden Spatula Awards were given out. The Blake’s new chef, Ross Dozier, won Best Table Presentation and won Best Dessert for his creation, Tropical Pineapple Foster. Paddy O’Leary’s Irish Pub in Pensacola Beach won Best Beverage for a variety of beers and Chef Josh Moultrie and Sous Chef Neele Gray of Tiger Point Golf Club’s Sunset Grille won Best Appetizer for their flash pan searing of shrimps and scallops, called Island Splash. The Expo also took a different route this year and featured entertainment inside the main exhibition hall.
