Navarre High School student Alex Esquibel was diagnosed with lymphoma last September and said they caught it early because of a regular school physical.
“They caught mine at such an early stage; it was just starting to form. All they had to do was take it out and zap it,” said Esquibel. “And then it was gone.”
He said being diagnosed with cancer was a complete shock, but after a little while he decided not to mope about it and be positive. He also said meeting Ian Lockwood made him want to be positive about the situation for himself and his family.
